Prancing and Sucking

I quit my job, sold my home, and drove around the country in the summer and fall of 2006, training BJJ, finding myself, and landing in LA. I still travel a lot and get to train in amazing places. Some of my friends are irritated that I "prance" around the world and think I "suck" for doing so.

Anolther placeholder post: Hiking today, whale watching tomorrow!

Hot damn! One of Debbie's clients knows a guy who runs whale watching tours. They have extra spaces on one of the boats tomorrow, so we get to go whale watching! Gotta get up kind of early, but I'm sure I'll survive.

I have the post written about my experiences with the excavator and the motorcycle at Shane's. Then today Debbie and I hiked to Granite Creek, which is off of Perseverance Trail about a 3-hour/9 mile hike. It poured down rain the entire time and we were soaked to the gills. Strangely, that didn't stop me from spontaneously bursting into song every now and then and having a ball picking wild gooseberries (almost filled one of those Ziplock freezer bags).

Tonight after we warmed up some it was a stroll around the tourist areas of Juneau (where the cruise ships put in) and then dinner with Debbie's friends Chuck and Sante at a restaurant called The Hangar, complete with Glacier Bay Amber. Debbie delivered their now 2-year-old son Cahal.

I have pics and more detail about all of this, and will post later tomorrow, after the whale watch!
