Time for introspection
Okay, so now I'm not busy NOT dying. And I'm not busy training and CrossFitting, at least until Monday; I saw my eye doctor yesterday, and he is the MAN. He said my pinkeye is viral, which means all the expensive antibiotics my general practitioner prescribed for me didn't do anything, because you just have to wait for viruses to get better. What I don't understand is that my GP told me it was viral too, so why did she prescribe antibiotics? But anyway, he told me to take it easy until next week. That was my plan anyway, though it feels like playing hooky.
But since I am feeling much better/rested and am not busy training, I ostensibly have time to think about the bigger picture of all of this, why it happened, what I'm supposed to learn. So I'm working on that. More later.
Aside to reyes: I learned a little bit about you from some mutual acquaintances and am looking forward to rolling with you if our paths ever cross!

Sometimes people just get sick and there is no lesson.
Ok, now it's time to tough it out and put on the black pirate eye patches and practicing rolling "blind," like in one of those old Brazilian jiu jitsu movies.
It seems obvious that people often get sick and die for no lesson all over the world since beginning of human life, at least no reasonable lesson perceivable by the suffered individual level.
If there is lesson though, maybe we should learn how to not take individual life event, which sometimes seems so violent to our little life, so independently serious but to see it as a little wave of an ocean, to understand we are part of big MAMA universe, and to stay focused on achieving our goal and inner happiness regardless seemingly pathetic environment we are forced to face last five million years. i.e.; SxxT HAPPENS. DON'T WORRY, BE HAPPY.
Doctors prescribe anitbiotics for viruses so they can bill the insurance companies to make money. This also leads to drug-resistant organisms, like MRSA, and they know it. Isn't greed a wonderful thing???

I'm guessing Val can guarantee all of that to reyes, with the slight exception of the black eye. She's got a knack for getting them, so I figure that she's due to hand out a few by now. The minute she agrees to NOT give you one, that will pretty much seal the deal.
